2. Information We Collect取得する情報
We collect personal information only when you actively provide it to us or when it is necessary to deliver a service you have requested. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:
- Inquiries via email — name, email address, company affiliation, and the content of your message.
- Licensing — for customers entering into a software licence agreement: company name, billing information, technical contact details, and information required to deliver and support the Software.
- Software licence activation — for users activating a paid licence: licence key, a machine fingerprint derived from stable system identifiers, hostname (used as a human-readable machine name in your account view), IP address (logged by our licensing provider for fraud prevention), and activation and last-seen timestamps.
- Billing — name, email address, billing address, VAT/tax identifier, and payment method details. Payment method details are collected and handled exclusively by Paddle as Merchant of Record; we never see card data.
Free-tier users of the Software do not activate against our servers, and no personal data is transmitted to us when running the Software under that tier.
We do not collect simulation data, meshes, materials, geometries, results, telemetry from your simulation runs, or file contents from your machine.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 16.
3. Purposes of Use利用目的
We use personal information for the following purposes only:
- To respond to inquiries and provide requested information.
- To negotiate, deliver, invoice, and support software licences.
- To enforce the terms of our software licences (e.g. preventing one licence being activated on many machines) and prevent abuse of activation.
- To process subscription payments and collect the correct tax, via Paddle as Merchant of Record.
- To comply with legal obligations (taxation, accounting, recordkeeping).
- To improve the Software and our communications with customers.
We do not use personal information for any other purpose without obtaining your consent. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for advertising or analytics.
4. Third-Party Sharing and Sub-Processors第三者提供・委託先
We do not sell personal information. We share personal information with third parties only in the following limited cases:
- Service providers (委託先) who process information on our behalf under contractual confidentiality and security obligations. Current providers include:
- Google LLC — email (Google Workspace) and website hosting (Firebase Hosting).
- Paddle.com Market Limited — payment processing, Merchant of Record. See Paddle's privacy policy.
- Keygen, Inc. — licence management and activation infrastructure for the Software. See Keygen's privacy policy.
- When required by law or by a binding order from a competent authority.
- With your prior consent.
Some of these service providers are located outside Japan (primarily the United States and the European Union). By using our services, you understand that your personal information may be transferred to and processed in those jurisdictions. Where sub-processors are located outside the EU, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses for the transfer.
5. Retention保存期間
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out above:
- Activation records: lifetime of your subscription plus 12 months.
- Billing data: per Paddle's retention policy (typically 7 years for tax compliance).
- Support correspondence: 3 years.
- Other inquiries: as long as needed to follow up, and thereafter deleted on request.
6. Cookies and Analyticsクッキー
This website does not currently use first-party tracking cookies or analytics. Third-party services linked from this website (such as Paddle's checkout) may set their own cookies when you interact with them, governed by their own privacy policies.
7. Data Security安全管理措置
We take reasonable and appropriate organizational and technical measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, and alteration. These measures include encrypted transmission (TLS/HTTPS), access controls on internal systems, and confidentiality obligations on personnel and subcontractors.
